Sodas and fruit juices both pack a caloric punch. If you're craving fruit, go with whole fruit instead. The best choice is still water. Water helps your body flush out waste products and toxins. Eight glasses are recommended per day. If you don’t like drinking plain water, then unsweetened tea and coffee are good runners-up.

Eating more fiber will keep you full as well as help you lose weight. Fiber may also help lower your risk for cancer. Try to fit more fiber into your diet. You can swap out white bread for whole grain and add some vegetable salad to each meal.
Snacking is often the culprit to eating unhealthy food. Try to prepare yourself with smart choices. Instead of junk foods, opt for a whole fruit, a granola bar, or small yogurt. These foods are great snack options as they have antioxidants, fiber, and calcium respectively. Remember, whatever you choose as snacks, just be mindful of your intake. Too much of everything is also not good.
